In his best-selling book “Moneyball :The Art of Winning an Unfair Game”,  author Michael Lewis profiles Billy Beane, who was named manager of the Oakland A’s and given a mandate to cut team payroll.  Using  a form of analytics known as sabermetrics  he was able to find and field a competitive roster that ranked 24th out of 30 major league teams in player salaries,  but had the 5th-best regular-season record.

LinkedIn, the world’s leading social network,  will be bringing you similar tools in early 2015 that will help you, like Billy Beane,  find and field a better team, at the right cost.  Check out this brief INC Magazine article on how LinkedIn plans to change the role of the HR Recruiter.
