Great CEOs spend more than a little time watching the world outside the walls of their enterprises because that’s where the need for their offerings emanates. Even though Bill Gates relinquished the CEO job at Microsoft years ago, he and wife Melinda now lead the Gates Foundation which manages their philanthropic efforts.
The Gates publish an annual letter about their efforts and experiences over the past year. In their recently released 2019 letter, they share an executive summary of nine significant issues (in both text and video formats) from 2018 about which they freely confess “We didn’t see this coming.” Well worth your time.
